Baby Born Today!
Hi everyone. Helen's husband Mike here reporting the happy arrival of our daughter today. I'll let Helen tell the details later, but everything went extremely well and Helen was magnificent in delivering the baby. From start to finish Helen's labor took about 6 hours. Our daughter is beautiful...we have pictures but unfortunately I don't have the camera with me right now to upload them. She weighs 7lbs14oz and is 21" tall, and has a nice head of hair! Baby remained awake, calm and alert for the first hours after birth, and took to nursing like a champ! Both baby and mom are doing fine. The rest of the children are aching to see their new sister and for mom to come home soon. I'm sure Helen will post as soon as she is able. I know she is eager to share the good news personally with all of her friends. On behalf of Helen and the family thank you for all of your prayers and well-wishes. Ave Maria!
