how my children responded to the big surprise

Many of my children said charming things when we revealed our big surprise to them.

Eight year old Matt:
"I thought you were too old!"

Seven year old, Boonlight Sonata :
"I want to see a picture. What does the baby look like at this time?"

Beaming with joy, five year old Benedicta said:
"I am so happy that you are having a baby."
(She was the first to divulge that Daddy spilled the beans to the children.)
Then she started expressing her concern that I was eating enough.
“I’m glad you had a big breakfast this morning. You need to eat enough.”

Three year old Ginger:
Nothing, no questions, no comments

Eleven year old Figaro also didn’t say much just fidgeted while the others spoke to me.

Thirteen year old Ponytail:
"You know one day at Church I was struck that I don't have a biological brother. I prayed for one."

That was a lovely posting Helen, a delightful, interesting read and then Ponytail's response was very special.

We cannot forget how powerful their prayers are. Makes me think of Jenn's little boy and his great desire for a sibling and his fervent prayers for an answer.
