Finally, Blog Names!

What does a Mom/blogger do with her family while at the beach on a cold and windy morning?
She sits with her baby in a sling, watches the other children play in the sand and she finally gives the children blog names!
This is Ginger ...as in Ginger bread house.
There is something exciting yet homey about a gingerbread house. It's sweet yet spicey, pretty yet childlike, elaborate yet assembled from simple elements. We’ll call my charming three year old, “Ginger.”
Hummingbird
We saw amazing hummingbirds in Guatemala. I think the hummingbird expresses our excitement at having our new baby, her exotic quality, her smallness and her sweetness.
Figaro loves opera.
I hesitate to pigeon hole him at the age of eleven but he was happy with the name.
Aida, Die Fledermaus and Barber of Seville are among his favorites.
Rocket Boonlight Sonata
I always thought the Moonlight Sonata of Beethoven captured the rumbling, moody, thoughtful depths of this child. He also can’t stay still and loves rockets. Rocket Boonlight Sonata fits.
Matt
Everyone tells me how handsome Matt is and that he looks just like a miniature Matt Damon.
Ponytail
Oldest of the crew, loves horses and has hair longer than a horse’s tail.
Benedicta
My five year old's got the whole package. Bright, loving, sensitive, musical, athletic and obedient – I’m naming her for Edith Stein, Sr. Benedicta of the Cross.
.
Here's our new addition for 2008.
Hope is her blog name.
